Tutoring

Our approach is dependent upon:

  • One-to-one tutor/student interaction
  • Application of pertinent technical apps
  • Mix of old-school (classic) methods
  • Heavy parent involvement
  • Assistance available for adult learners

PASS was created to address failing standardized test scores for a generation of students that were being left behind academically, by a system that was supposed to empower them, making them college and career ready. In 2013, Carol McCreary- Maddox published a paper, “Student Lost in Transition,” that clearly showed that the failing schools were concentrated in communities located inside the beltway. MUG, favorably situated in Seat Pleasant, MD (a community inside the beltway), began to expand its tutoring program.
