Tutoring

Sessions are held twice a week for one hour, with options on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tutoring is available both virtually and in person. After registration is confirmed, students will complete an online IXL placement test. These results, along with a parent and student meeting, will be used to create a personalized learning plan.

Sessions are led by college students from local universities or experienced tutors.

Students must have:

• A quiet space for sessions 
• A computer or tablet with a camera 
• Paper and pencil 
• All assignments completed before each session 

Students will use IXL for math, Spanish, and language arts. This platform allows tutors to track progress and guide continued learning beyond the program. MUG leadership will monitor sessions and review progress reports, with additional resources provided to support student success.
